The Andhra Pradesh High Court delivered a significant verdict on Tuesday, quashing a poll code violation case against the renowned actor, Chiranjeevi. The case was originally registered against Chiranjeevi in 2014 when he was actively leading the Congress party's election campaign during the 2014 elections. The charge against him was for holding an election rally beyond the permitted time, causing disruptions to traffic in Guntur. Chiranjeevi's lawyer strongly argued that the case was registered unlawfully while the actor was returning from campaigning that day and there was no actual disruption to traffic. In light of these compelling arguments, the High Court has ruled in favor of Chiranjeevi, ordering the case registered against him to be struck out.
