East Godavari: In a horrific accident, four were killed and nine killed injured severely after a speeding car rammed into a van. The incident took place on Madiki National Highway under the jurisdiction of Alamuru Mandal. According to the sources, the accident occurred as a group of nine individuals from Chodavaram in Anakapalli district were en route to Mandapalli in Kothapet Mandal, intending to pay their respects at a shrine. Tragically, a car travelling from Visakha lost control and collided with the van, causing immediate fatalities. Three passengers in the van and one occupant of the car lost their lives on the spot, while the remaining nine individuals sustained injuries. The injured victims were swiftly transported to Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital for medical treatment. The police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
