Hyderabad: Police have arrested 16 radical Islamic activists who were hiding in the city. The Telangana police had been closely monitoring the movements of these individuals for some time, and on Tuesday, they conducted a joint operation with the Madhya Pradesh police to apprehend them. During the search operation, which began early in the morning, the police seized jihadi material, knives, and airguns. The raids were carried out with the assistance of the Central Intelligence Agency, who had been monitoring the situation for the past 18 months. Of the 16 individuals arrested, 11 were from Bhopal, and five were from Hyderabad. The police have revealed that many cases have been registered against those who have been detained in various police stations across the city.
