Hyderabad: Heavy rainfall pounded the city of Hyderabad on Sunday evening, causing widespread traffic disruptions throughout the region. According to reports, the downpour was accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, creating challenging driving conditions for commuters. The rainfall was concentrated in several areas across the city, including Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Lingamapally, JNTU, Bachupally, Dhulapally, Pragathi Nagar, Uppal, Nacharam, Kothapet, Habsiguda, Nagole, Boduppal, Dammaiguda, Keesara, Mallapur, Begumpet, Alwal, Malkajgiri, Neredmet, Tirumalagiri, Karkhana, and parts of Secunderabad. The heavy rain and gusty winds also impacted other areas of the city, such as Secunderabad, Shaikpet, Bandlaguda, Toli Chowki, Tank Bund, Film Nagar, Jubille Hills, Rajendranagar, Film Nagar, Asifnagar, Attapur,Khairatabad, Namapally, and parts of the old city. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the state of Telangana can expect continued rainfall due to a trough from east Vidarbha to north interior Tamil Nadu.
