Anantapur: J.C. Prabhakar Reddy, Chairman of Tadipatri municipality and leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has resorted to an eye-catching method of protest against alleged corruption in the municipality. He took a bath in front of the municipal office in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district on Tuesday, as a sign of protest. Prabhakar Reddy and TDP councilors had been on a sit-in at the municipal office since Monday, demanding action against the corrupt officials. The former MLA even spent the night under a tent with fellow protesters. After his bath, Prabhakar Reddy continued his sit-in, with TDP leaders and workers from surrounding areas expressing solidarity with him. The TDP councilors have alleged that the municipal commissioner and other officials have turned a blind eye to the irregularities being committed by the ruling YSR Congress.
