Hyderabad: YSRTP president YS Sharmila was arrested on Monday after a heated argument with police officers who prevented her from leaving her residence in Hyderabad. According to the reports, YS Sharmila was attempting to leave in her car when police officers stopped her, blocking her path. Sharmila reportedly became enraged and engaged in a heated argument with the officers. In protest, she sat down in the middle of the road for a period of time. Later, Sharmila attempted to leave the area by pushing the police officers. Sharmila expressed her frustration towards the police officers, questioning why they prevented her from carrying out her own tasks. This action created a tense atmosphere, and in the wake of the altercation, Sharmila was arrested and taken to Jubilee Hills Police Station. In response to the incident, police officers heavily deployed in the area around Lotus Pond, where Sharmila's house is located.
