Prakasam: In a shocking turn of events, workers of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YCP) pelted stones at the convoy of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Yarragondapalem in Prakasam district on Friday. The attack resulted in injuries to NSG Commandant Santhosh Kumar, who was providing security to Naidu. As per sources, the attack took place in the name of protesting Naidu's visit. It is learnt that the police were present but did not intervene to stop the violence. Chandrababu had been visiting the Prakasam district for three days, holding roadshows and meetings in Giddalur and Markapuram. However, the ruling YCP decided to block his visit to Yarragondapalem, where Minister Suresh is representing the party.
