Jagtial: A tragic road accident occurred on the outskirts of Ambaripet village in Endapalli Mandal of Jagitial district, resulting in the death of a private bus driver. The bus collided with an oncoming lorry, leading to serious injuries among the 50 passengers onboard. The incident occurred on the night of April 20, and the injured were rushed to Dharmaram and Karimnagar hospitals for medical treatment. According to reports, the accident occurred when the bus swerved to avoid a fallen tree on the road. The lorry was heading towards Karimnagar, while the minibus was en route to Dharmapuri, where the passengers belongs to Bejagam village of Gajwel Mandalwere travelling to immerse the ashes of their deceased relatives in the Godavari river. Unfortunately, the bus driver died on the spot, and 15 passengers sustained serious injuries, with four of them in critical condition. The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
