Warangal: The Warangal district court has granted conditional bail to Dr. Saif, the main accused in the Preeti suicide case, which had created a sensation in Telangana. Preeti, a PG medical student, had allegedly committed suicide in Warangal due to harassment by senior doctor Saif. Dr. Saif was granted bail on the condition that he produce a guarantee of Rs. 10,000 and two sureties. The court ordered him to appear in court every Friday afternoon for the next 16 weeks. However, the court warned that the bail would be revoked if any threats are made in the context of the trial or if any attempts are made to tamper with the evidence. The police had previously concluded that Saif's harassment was the cause of Preeti's suicide, leading to his arrest and remand. The decision to grant conditional bail has drawn mixed reactions, with some welcoming the move while others expressing disappointment and concern.
