Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reaffirmed his commitment to representing his former Lok Sabha constituency of Wayanad on Tuesday, stating that no one can prevent him from doing so, and that being an MP is merely a position or tag. The comments came in response to his recent disqualification from the Lok Sabha due to his conviction in a defamation case regarding his "Modi surname" remark. However, the conviction has been temporarily suspended to allow the leader time to appeal the decision. His appeal is set to be heard by a Gujarat court on April 13th. Speaking to a crowd of Congress supporters, Rahul Gandhi stated, "The BJP can take my label, position, and home, or they can put me in jail, but they cannot prevent me from representing the people of Wayanad." Despite the setback, Gandhi remains committed to his role as a representative of the people, regardless of the outcome of the ongoing legal proceedings.
