CPI National Secretary K Narayana expressed his support for the Telangana government's bid to acquire the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh, citing the availability of 30,000 acres of land that could lead to significant profits for the steel industry. However, Narayana also criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan for appearing subservient to the central government by waiving cases. Narayana warned that if Jagan were to bid for the steel plant, he would likely end up in jail the next day. Previously, the National Secretary of the CPI, expressed his approval of the Telangana government's submission of an expression of interest (EoI) for acquiring the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) located in Andhra Pradesh.
