Maharashtra: In a tragic incident, at least seven people were killed and five others injured on Sunday evening in Maharashtra's Akola after a massive Neem tree fell on a tin shed where devotees were taking shelter during a religious ceremony in Babuji Maharaj Mandir. The incident occurred at around 7 pm in front of a temple and was reportedly caused by heavy rainfall and strong winds. According to police officials, around 40 to 50 people were present under the shed at the time of the accident, and rescue workers rushed to the scene soon after receiving reports of the tragedy. The emergency services used JCB machines to lift the tree trunk and the collapsed shed, while trying to locate and rescue those trapped underneath.
