Pune: A fruit vendor in Pune has launched a unique initiative to sell Alphonso mangoes on Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs) due to the rising inflation. Gaurav Sanas, who owns Gurukripa Traders and Fruit Products, is encouraging Alphonso lovers to set aside their financial worries and indulge in the king of fruits to their heart's content. The objective of this idea is to make sure that even common people who cannot afford to buy Alphonso, also known as 'Hapus,' can relish it this year. Mr Sanas pointed out that if refrigerators and air-conditioners can be purchased on instalments, then why not mangoes? He also claimed that his family's outlet is the first in the entire country to sell mangoes on EMI. In an interview with the media, he stated his intentions behind the initiative.
