Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is not one to back down from a legal challenge. In light of the recent Surat court verdict, he and his legal team are preparing to file an appeal and challenge the sentence. Reports indicate that they have already discussed their strategy with legal experts and have prepared a petition to be filed in the Surat sessions court. With Rahul Gandhi himself slated to arrive at the court to file the appeal at around 3 pm, his lawyer Kirit Panwala has confirmed that they are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice. The Surat court's verdict sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in jail in a defamation case, and he was subsequently disqualified by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Even his official residence has been ordered to be vacated. However, the Congress leader remains undeterred and determined to pursue his legal options.
