Nellore: Tensions rose in Nellore as members of the YSRCP party protested against the suspended MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, and chanted slogans against him. On Thursday, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy visited the bus stand area and engaged in a verbal altercation with YSRCP leaders. In response, YSRCP leaders from various areas came to Udayagiri and declared that they would not allow the MLA to visit the locale. Vinay Reddy, the husband of the local MPP, arrived at the bus stand center and dared MLA Chandrasekhar Reddy to visit the area, stating that he would stay there for two days. He alleged that money had been paid for certain positions and added that they possessed evidence to support their claim.
