Kavitha writes to ED, to appear on March 11 in Delhi excise policy case
New Delhi: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Kavitha has written to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) stating that she will comply with the agency's summons and appear before them on March 11 in the Delhi excise policy case. Kavitha's response came after the ED issued a notice requesting her to appear on March 9, which she had initially asked to delay by a week.
However, the ED rejected her request, leading Kavitha to send another letter expressing her intent to exercise her rights under the law. In the letter, she denies any involvement in the case and accuses the summons of being politically motivated. Despite this, Kavitha affirms her willingness to appear before the agency on March 11 as directed by the ED.
In the meantime, Kavitha is traveling to Delhi and is scheduled to lead a one-day protest on March 10 against the Parliament's delay in passing the women's reservation bill, as she is also known for her work as a social worker.
