ED issues summons to Kavitha in Delhi Liquor Scam
Hyderabad: On March 9, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued summons to K. Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to interrogate her regarding the Delhi Excise Policy scandal. Kavitha, who is also a member of the South Group, is accused of offering a bribe of Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders.
According to an insider, she may be questioned alongside Arun Pillai, a Hyderabad-based businessman who was arrested on Tuesday and also a member of the South Group. Abhishek Boinpally, Arun Pillai, and Buchi Babu represented the South Group, with Abhishek Boinpalli reportedly conspiring with Nair and Dinesh Arora to transfer the kickback.
Meanwhile, the ED also interrogated Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for several hours in connection with the alleged Rs 100 crore bribe that the AAP received through hawala transactions from the South Group. The insider claimed that Kavitha would be questioned about statements made by Sisodia.
