Vikarabad: Man r*pes schoolgirl after headmaster asks him to drop her home
Vikarabad: In Yalala Mandal of Vikarabad district, a 10th-grade minor girl was r*ped by a man who was asked by the school headmaster to drop her at her home late at night. According to sources, the incident took place after the school excursion that the girl attended with 89 other students and staff to Hyderabad on February 13. The staff called the parents of the students to pick them up after returning to the school late at night. However, the girl from Perkampally Thanda and some students from the neighbouring Veershettipalli village stayed behind as their parents were delayed.
The headmaster, Venkataswamy, asked a resident of Perkampally Thanda, Raghupathi (22), to drop the five girl students at their homes. After dropping off the four girls in Veershettipally village, the accused stopped the car at a deserted place and r*ped the girl in the car. He threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone.
The girl fell ill and revealed the incident to her mother after three days. The mother immediately filed a complaint at Yalala Police Station, and the police registered a case and started investigating the matter. The higher officials suspended the school headmaster.
