Hyderabad: A passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad caused a major disruption to airport operations after making a hoax bomb threat call on Monday. The individual, identified as Ajmira Bhadraiah, was attempting to catch a flight to Chennai on IndiGo Airlines but missed the boarding time. In response, he made a call to the airport claiming that a bomb had been planted on the plane. The airport authorities immediately halted the flight and evacuated all passengers and staff, deploying a dog squad, bomb squad, and other teams to search for any potential threats. However, after a thorough search, no suspicious objects were found, and it was determined that the call was a hoax made by Bhadraiah from within the RGIA premises. Bhadraiah was subsequently apprehended by airport intelligence officials and taken into custody for questioning. He later admitted to making the call in an attempt to catch his flight.
