Mumbai: A traffic cop was dragged on the bonnet of a car for over a kilometer after he tried to stop the driver who had jumped a signal in the Vasai suburbs, nearly 60 km away from downtown Mumbai, Maharashtra on Sunday evening. The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed in the area. According to sources, the traffic police constable identified as Somnath Chaudhary was being dragged on the car's bonnet. The 19-year-old hit the cop and dragged him for 1.5 km before getting caught in a traffic jam and being arrested. The constable sustained injuries in the incident, and the car had an Uttar Pradesh number plate.
