Addanki: A violent altercation broke out in the middle of the night at the Addanki bus stand center in Ongolu. Two young men riding a scooty attacked five young women who were working in a local restaurant and hailed from different states. The women were beaten badly in the attack. The situation escalated when other local youths joined the women and a large fight ensued. The groups used sticks to cause chaos on the road. Fearing for their safety, the women and their companions sought refuge in the restaurant. However, the attackers tried to storm the restaurant and continued their rampage for an hour. Upon receiving reports of the disturbance, the police arrived at the scene and managed to disperse both groups.
