Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh has expressed his frustration after his bulletproof vehicle broke down in Hyderabad on Monday. In a series of events that followed, the MLA was briefly detained by police officials after a heated altercation near Pragathi Bhavan. According to sources, Raja Singh slammed the Telangana government for providing him with a vehicle in poor condition despite the fact that he faces a threat to his life from terrorists. "It is unacceptable that I have been provided with a vehicle that is in such poor condition, despite the threat to my life," Singh was quoted as saying. After leaving his vehicle near Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, police officials swung into action and forcibly removed the vehicle, taking it to Punjagutta Police Station. Singh was reportedly detained for a brief period following his altercation with police.
