ED makes another arrest in Delhi Excise Policy investigation
New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made another arrest in the ongoing investigation into the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 money laundering case. On Thursday, the owner of Chariot Production Media Pvt Ltd, Rajesh Joshi, was taken into custody. This comes just a day after the arrest of Punjab-based businessman Gautam Malhotra, who is the son of former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Deep Malhotra. The arrest of Joshi marks the third arrest in the case in just three days.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also made an arrest on Wednesday, taking into custody a Hyderabad-based chartered accountant believed to be the auditor of BRS MLC K Kavitha.
In addition to these arrests, several others have been named as accused in the case, including Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, former excise commissioner Arva Gopi Krishna, deputy commissioner Anand Tiwari, and assistant commissioner Pankaj Bhatnagar.
