SC - ST Sub-Plan meeting: I was racially abused on a flight says Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan, the chief of the Jana Sena Party, has accused the ruling YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh of neglecting the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes through its sub-plan for these communities. During a state-level conference on Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan shared personal experiences of discrimination he has faced, including an incident on a foreign flight where a British air hostess refused to give him a glass of water despite his repeated requests.
Pawan Kalyan stated that everyone experiences racial discrimination at some point in their lives. He also recounted how he refused to disembark from the flight and confronted the pilot, telling him, "If you don't want to serve us, then stop airway service to our country." The pilot reportedly apologized and offered him some bottles of wine as compensation, to which Pawan Kalyan responded, "I can give 5, 6 wine bottles to each passenger in the flight."
Through these personal anecdotes, Pawan Kalyan highlighted the ongoing issue of discrimination faced by marginalized communities and called for immediate action by the government to address it.
