Anjali dragged case: 13 Police faces suspension in Delhi dragged case
A young woman named Anjali Singh was allegedly hit by accused in an inebriated state and then dragged for 13 km in Delhi. The incident, which occurred on January 1, prompted protests across the country and prompted the Union Home Ministry to take action. A case of murder was registered on the orders of the Union Home Ministry, and an investigation led by a senior police officer named Shalini Singh was launched.
According to witnesses and the investigating team, the accused were found to be negligent, and 11 policemen have already been suspended for their laxity in the matter. The investigation revealed that the accused were driving the car even though they were aware that the woman was trapped in it. It appears that the accused had intended to dispose of the body at a specific location.
The suspended policemen include two SIs, four ASIs, four head constables and two constables. The Union Home Ministry has ordered that a case of murder be registered against all of the accused.
