JP speech obstructed at Uttarandhra Charcha Vedike conference in Visakhapatnam!
During his speech at the Uttarandhra Charcha Vedike meeting on Saturday in Visakhapatnam, Loksatta President Jayaprakash Narayan received criticism. His speech was cut short by members of the Vizag Steel Plant Protection Action Committee as he allegedly supported the privatisation plan for the Vizag steel plant. They shouted pro-Andhra rights slogans and implored JP to apologise. This has led to the interruption of the Uttarandhra Charcha Vedike meeting.
On the other hand, the former minister Konathala Ramakrishna made a demand at the same location for the completion of the Sujala Sravanthi and Polavaram projects in Uttarandhra. He claimed that Uttarandhra did not receive the right amount of funds.
