Sunil Saraf, a Congress MLA, is in new legal jeopardy as a result of firing in the air with a revolver at a New Year's celebration. The local police have charged Saraf, a newly elected Congressman from Madhya Pradesh's Kotma district, with violating the IPC provisions of the Arms Act by reportedly discharging his pistol at a New Year's celebration he hosted on the night between Saturday and Sunday. In the viral video, Saraf was seen dancing and displaying a revolver from his pants. Then, as the well-known Bollywood song "Main Hoon Don" played in the background, he started firing the weapon into the air. Local residents apparently oppose it as well. Narottam Mishra, the home minister for Madhya Pradesh, took notice of the situation and asked for an investigation. The Congress MLA, on the other hand, answered that it was a toy pistol used for Diwali.
