Aakasam marks Ashok Selvan's return to the industry after his direct Telugu debut with the sentimental romance Ninnila Ninnila last year. Ritu Varma, who also appeared with him in Ninnila Ninnila, will be joining him once again in this coming-of-age story alongside Shivathmika Rajashekar and Aparna Balamurali. The romance portion of the young man's life is the subject of the movie, which shows how he recovers from heartbreak, misplaces his identity, and rediscovers it while on vacation. Aakasam, directed and written by Ra. Karthik, was also released in Tamil under the title Nitham Oru Vaanam. On November 4, the movie is scheduled for release in both languages.
