Thousands of people gathered in Visakhapatnam today to demonstrate their support for making Vizag the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh. TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy criticised the opposition for presenting a false picture and claimed that the people of Andhra Pradesh wanted the state to have three capitals. According to Mr. YV Subba Reddy, the government is not opposed to Amaravati's growth. He claimed that because Visakhapatnam is currently a fully developed metropolis in every way, the government can continue to spend in its development. He declared that Kurnool will remain the seat of the judiciary and Amaravati would remain the legislative party.
