Telugu movie 'Godfather,' starring Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi, has been running well and doing well at the box office, grossing Rs 38 crore globally on its opening day. The film's producers have released a hugely successful promo, which has confirmed its box office success.

The political action thriller, which debuted on Wednesday, is a remake of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran's 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the starring role.

The movie's box office figure has been shared on Twitter by the production company Konidela Production Company.

The movie Godfather, which is directed by Mohan Raja, also features Nayanthara and Satyadev Kancharana.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also makes a significant cameo appearance in the movie.
