Guntur: The Court dismissed the remand petition filed by APCID police and granted bail to the retired senior journalist Kollu Ankababu. The Court asked the CID officials why the notices were served to Ankababu under section 41A of CrPC. Speaking to the media after release, journalist Ankababu shared how the CID Police entered his house and arrested him. He said that he asked the police to show their ID cards when they asked him to come along with them for interrogation and to serve 41A notices. Journalist Ankababu said that he was in lungi at that time and added that one of the inspectors even tried to pull his lungi. He said that police told him that they will leave him within half an hour after taking a statement from him after his social media post.
