Shankar Singh Vaghela, a former Union minister and former chief minister of Gujarat, met K Chandra Sekhar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana, on Friday at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad. According to sources, the two had discussed national politics and political tactics to bolster the potent political opposition that the Chief Minister KCR is attempting to forge of the non-NDA and non-UPA alliance. Leaders from other states joining the non-NDA and non-UPA alliance have regularly met with CM KCR. Earlier, CM KCR met with former chief ministers of Karnataka, Akhilesh Yadav of Uttar Pradesh, Lalu Prasad of Bihar, and Uddhav Thackeray, as well as other regional figures including DMK leader and chief of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin.
