Senior Council Dushyant Dave sobbed as he said goodbye to CJI NV Ramana on his last day of office. The CJI Ramana demitted from his position on Friday after more than 16 months in office. Dave broke down in tears as the Judiciary said the departing CJI farewell from the ceremonial bench. The senior attorney described CJI NV Ramana as a "citizen's judge" while in tears. He claimed that the CJI supported citizens' rights and went above and beyond expectations. On Friday, Attorney General K K Venugopal praised Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana's efforts as "extraordinary." He stated, "We are losing an intellectual and an excellent judge."
