The Andhra Pradesh state administration has proposed moving the State High Court from Amaravati to Kurnool, according to Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of Law and Justice. This was in response to a concern about transferring the High Court to Kurnool in the Lok Sabha on Friday and that was brought up by YSR Congress Party MPs Kotagiri Sridhar and Chinta Anuradha to the Center. The Union Law Minister has made it clear that the state administration should communicate with the High Court before deciding to move the High Court to Kurnool. The State government should pay for all of the High Court's administrative costs, and as part of the process, the State government and the High Court should decide whether to move the High Court to Kurnool. According to him, the proceedings should be conveyed to the Central Government.
