In the e-auction of the media rights for the Indian Premier League (IPL) cycle 2023 to 2027, two different broadcasters obtained the TV (package A) and digital (package B) rights for the Indian subcontinent. Considering 410 matches to be televised across a five-year cycle, the total value of each IPL game is RS 107.5 crore. The total for TV is Rs 23,575 crore, while the total for digital is Rs 20,500 crore. The digital rights, which had closed at Rs 48 crore per game in the first round, appeared to be going to the original winner of the digital rights. Star India-Disney now holds the IPL rights for the 2017-22 season, with a winning bid of RS 16,347.50 crore in September 2017 for both TV and digital.
