Champions Trophy: Rickelton's Century Propels South Africa to a Strong Total
South Africa and Afghanistan are facing off today in the ICC Champions Trophy at the National Stadium in Karachi. Winning the toss, South Africa opted to bat and posted a formidable total of 315 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs.
Opener Ryan Rickelton starred with a century, scoring 103 runs off 106 balls before being run out. His innings included seven fours and one six. Captain Temba Bavuma (58), Rassie van der Dussen (52), and Aiden Markram (52* not out) also made significant contributions with half-centuries.
Among Afghanistan’s bowlers, Mohammad Nabi took two wickets, while Fazalhaq Farooqi, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Noor Ahmad claimed one wicket each.
