All Credit Goes to Prime Minister Modi: Nara Lokesh

In a statement, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ₹11,440 crore special package allocated to revive the Vizag Steel Plant. Lokesh stated that this decision fulfilled a key election promise made by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to save the plant, which was on the verge of closure. He emphasized that the entire credit for the revival goes to Prime Minister Modi.

Lokesh highlighted the critical role the Vizag Steel Plant would play in the vision of a "Developed Andhra Pradesh" and "Developed India." He noted that the plant would create direct and indirect employment opportunities for lakhs of people, making a significant impact on the livelihoods of many families.

The minister extended his gratitude to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Steel Minister Kumaraswamy for their support in ensuring the allocation of funds. Lokesh expressed optimism that the steel plant would propel Andhra Pradesh to new heights, likening it to a powerful weapon in the state's economic arsenal. He reiterated the transformative potential of the plant in changing the lives of lakhs of individuals across the state.
