CMR College Bathroom Video Incident: Women's Commission Orders Investigation

The Telangana State Women's Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of an incident reported at the CMR Women’s College Hostel in Kandlakoya, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. The Commission has directed an immediate investigation into allegations that visuals from the college hostel bathrooms were recorded. Hyderabad Police Commissioner has been instructed to investigate the matter and submit a detailed report.

The incident reportedly involves the proximity of the hostel's bathrooms to the kitchen. Allegations surfaced that videos of the bathrooms were being recorded, prompting students to stage a protest from the afternoon until midnight. The agitation was called off following police intervention.

Based on complaints from the students, Medchal police have registered a case and detained five suspects. The suspects’ mobile phones have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
