Sharmila to Stage Protest in Delhi This Afternoon, Meets Sharad Pawar

YS Sharmila, having assumed the responsibilities as the President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), is vigorously working towards restoring the former glory of the Congress Party in the state. The party, which seemed to have lost its presence until recently, has been revitalized with Sharmila's entry. She is focusing on special status for Andhra Pradesh and the promises made during the state's bifurcation as her main strategies.

Sharmila has already been criticizing the YSRCP and TDP during her tours in Andhra Pradesh, with a particular focus on targeting the ruling YSRCP. She is making efforts to position herself as the rightful heir to the late YSR's legacy.

Shifting her political campaign to Delhi, Sharmila is scheduled to stage a protest this afternoon at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in Delhi, demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. This protest aims to bring the issue of Andhra Pradesh's special status to the attention of national leaders.

A short while ago, she met with NCP chief and veteran politician Sharad Pawar, seeking his support for the fight for special status and the promises made during the bifurcation. She urged Pawar to raise these issues in Parliament. Pawar responded positively, assuring that he would speak on the matter in Parliament. Alongside Sharmila were leaders like KVP, Raghuveera Reddy, JD Seelam, among others.
