Speaking to the media, RGV said that Ravi Kumar registered a complaint against him using a forged payment assurance letter. Based on the complaint, a civil court here stopped screening of Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon. He mentioned that the Telangana High Court vacated the stay.

RGV showed his original letterhead and letterhead used without his company name and address to register a complaint against him. “In the past, Shekhar Raju also stopped his movie screening to extort money from me with fake documents,” he mentioned.

The director said that Artsee Media, Big People and Parijatha Movie Creations, producers of Ladki, have suffered losses because of civil court stay. “We want to teach a lesson for blackmailers by bringing the case to a logical end so that no one will dare to do in the future,” he warned.
