‘Balagam’ Actor GV Babu Passes Away

Renowned stage artist and actor GV Babu, who gained recognition for his role in the film Balagam, passed away today. He had been suffering from health issues for some time and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Warangal, where he breathed his last.

Venu Yeldandi, the director of Balagam, expressed sorrow over GV Babu’s demise. "He dedicated his entire life to the theatre. I was fortunate to introduce GV Babu to the Telugu film industry through Balagam," Venu stated. Other film industry figures who learned of his death also conveyed their condolences.

Released two years ago, Balagam emerged as a blockbuster hit. The film brought acclaim to many of its cast members and opened up new opportunities in cinema. GV Babu delivered a memorable performance as Anjanna, the grandfather of the character Priyadarshi, portraying the role with natural ease that resonated with rural audiences.
