Actress Anu Aggarwal Supports Paresh Rawal’s Urine Therapy Practice
Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal recently made headlines for revealing that he drank his own urine to recover from a knee injury. In an interview, Paresh Rawal stated that he followed the advice of Viru Devgan, a senior stunt director and father of Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who recommended this practice for healing.
Now, actress Anu Aggarwal has voiced her support for Paresh Rawal’s statement and revealed that she, too, has consumed urine. Her comments are currently going viral on social media.
In an interview with ‘Instant Bollywood’, Anu Aggarwal said, “Many people are unaware of this—perhaps due to ignorance or lack of awareness. But drinking urine, known as Amroli, is actually a yogic practice. I have personally practiced it. I have tried it, and it is a very important practice.”
She continued, “One important thing to remember is that you do not drink the entire urine. You consume only a portion of it, which is considered Amrit (elixir). It helps in reducing the signs of aging. It prevents wrinkles on the skin. It genuinely works wonders for health and well-being. I have personally benefited from it.”
When asked about medical professionals advising against the practice, Anu Aggarwal responded, “How old is science? 200 years? Yoga has been around for over a thousand years. Which one do you choose to believe?”
Anu Aggarwal rose to fame as the lead actress in the 1990 Bollywood blockbuster Aashiqui, which brought her significant recognition.
Meanwhile, medical experts have condemned Paresh Rawal’s comments. Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, known on social media as “The Liver Doc,” strongly criticized the actor. “Please do not drink your urine. There is no scientific evidence that consuming urine provides any health benefits. Do not follow Bollywood actors' advice on such matters,” Dr. Philips stated.
