KCR warns ministers to keep off corruption

Hyderabad, April 3 , 2015 : In a stern warning to ministers and parliamentary secretaries, Telangana chief minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao has asked them to improve their performance and not indulge in corruption to avoid dismissal from the cabinet. "You must improve your work. Get command over the administration of your department and ensure that Government programmes are implemented properly for the benefit of the people. Also ensure there is no corruption in your department. Go to people and mingle with them and make sure they are getting the fruits of government schemes," KCR told his ministers and parliamentary secretaries at a lengthy meeting on Thursday at his camp office. KCR reviewed implementation of various government programmes at a meeting wherein top officials of several departments were also present. After the officials left, KCR gave an earful to his cabinet members. Asking them not to indulge in corruption, he bluntly warned them: "Already one minister lost his job because of corruption. Don't buy that situation for you. " Making it clear that ministers will be held responsible for the success or failure of the programmes, KCR told them that Government is not getting the required popularity despite implementation of various welfare schemes. All ministers and parliamentary secretaries should also strive to strengthen the party at the base level while ensuring proper implementation of government schemes and programmes, he said, adding they must have proper coordination with concerned officials for this.
