Jatin Hukkeri Claims He and Ranya Rao Are Living Separately, Not Divorced

Jatin Hukkeri, the husband of Kannada actress Ranya Rao, informed the court that while they have not officially divorced, they have been living separately due to certain reasons. Hukkeri made this statement in connection with a petition seeking exemption from arrest in a gold smuggling case, in which Ranya Rao was recently arrested.

It is already known that Ranya Rao was caught smuggling gold illegally from Dubai. In his petition, Hukkeri revealed that he married Ranya Rao in November last year but stated that they have been living apart since December.

During the hearing last week, the court issued an order stating that no action should be taken against Hukkeri until the next hearing. These orders will remain in effect until March 24. Meanwhile, officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have announced their intention to file a petition opposing Hukkeri’s request.
