Champions Trophy: Australia-South Africa Match Canceled
The ICC Champions Trophy match between Australia and South Africa, scheduled to take place today, was canceled due to rain. The Group B league match, hosted in Rawalpindi, had to be called off as continuous rainfall made it impossible to conduct even a shortened 20-over game. The match referee officially announced the cancellation due to unplayable conditions.
As a result, both Australia and South Africa received one point each. In the Group B points table, South Africa and Australia now lead with three points each, while England and Afghanistan have yet to open their accounts.
Meanwhile, in Group A, India and New Zealand have already secured their spots in the semifinals. Host nation Pakistan and Bangladesh have been eliminated from the tournament after suffering consecutive defeats.
