YCP Leader Turaka Kishore Faces 14-Day Remand After Arrest in Hyderabad

Turaka Kishore, a YCP leader, who was involved in an attack on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders Buddha Venkanna and Bonda Uma during the previous government’s regime, was arrested by Palnadu police in Hyderabad. The arrest has been widely reported, with the police presenting Kishore before the Macharla court today. The judge ordered a 14-day judicial remand for Kishore, following which he was transferred to Guntur Sub-Jail.

After the elections, Turaka Kishore reportedly went into hiding and was staying with his brother Sreekanth in Bengaluru. However, he was apprehended by the police during a visit to Hyderabad, where he had come to meet former YCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy.

Kishore has several criminal charges against him, including seven cases of attempted murder and seven other offenses.
