Undavalli petition on bifurcation to come up for hearing on 16

Guntur, Feb 13, 2015: Former MP Undavalli Arunkumar's petition challenging the bifurcation of united AP will come up for hearing on Feb 26 in Supreme Court. Undavalli told reporters that even though the bifurcation can not be undone now, the Supreme court may ask the Centre to amend the Article 3 of the Constitution to give it more powers on reorganisation of the states. Undavalli filed the petition in the apex court arguing that the bifurcation was effected in undue haste. The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Centre asking it to file a counter on or before the next hearing date.
