AP's temporary capital to come up in 80 days with Rs. 200 Cr
Hyderabad, Feb 11, 2015: AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has appointed a senior journalist to coordinate temporary capital construction works in and around Vijayawada city at a cost of Rs. 200 Cr. The senior journalist will oversee the construction of the temporary capital to be taken up by Satyavani Constructions and Consultants Pvt Ltd and coordinate with the company and other officials to ensure its speedy completion. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the builder to complete the temporary capital in 80 days so that he can shift his administrative base from June 8, the day when he completes one year in office as CM. Meanwhile, the state government has submitted proposals to the Centre seeking funds to the tune of Rs. 2400 Cr for the construction of fist phase of the Capital. As per the estimates prepared by the Municipal and Urban Development department, the expenditure is estimated at Rs.1125 Cr for assembly and Secretariat, Rs.1001 Cr for the Secretariat and Rs.90 Cr each for Rajbhavan, CM residence and CM's camp office.
