AP,TS share debt burden at Rs. 86,340 Cr, Rs.61,710 Cr
New Delhi, Feb 2, 2015: The Central Government has notified the debts of AP and Telangana after dividing the debt burden of the undivided AP. According to the Centre's notification, the total debt of Telangana and AP now stands at Rs.61,710 Cr and Rs.86,340 Cr respectively.The debts were divided on the basis of the population of the two states. The Union Finance Ministry is yet to divide the loans totaling to Rs. 18,430 Cr granted to the united AP by the Centre and foreign finance institutions. It will take another week to notify this debt. Out of this Rs.18,430 Cr debt, some of it will go AP and the rest to Telangana depending on the area and district in which the loan funds were spent during the united AP era.
