It is Sentosa mania all the way in AP !

Vijayawada, Jan 24, 2015: It is Sentosa mania that has hit the developmental buzz now in Andhra Pradesh as well as among the Singapore-settled NRIs, especially Telugus. Sentosa is the name of the 500-hectare amusement island in Singapore and Andhra Pradesh seems to have been inspired very much by the name itself. While the Government has announced its plans of developing the 133-acre Bhavani island in the Krishna as a major tourist and amusement attraction on the lines of the much acclaimed Sentosa island in Singapore, the Hyderabad based Mahalaxmi group has announced its plans of naming its Rs. 100 Cr luxurious real estate project after Sentosa. The Mahalaxmi Group wants to build luxury flats in the capital region of AP fixing the price of each flat at a minimum of Rs. 1.5 Cr and above. The group Chairman Y.Harish Chandra Prasad told reporters they are going to launch the project officially tomorrow at Vijayawada. Recently, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has also instructed officials to prepare plans to have a rope way in the developmental plans of Bhavani Island similar to the one present in Sentosa Island in Singapore. Reports said that the Telugus settled in Singapore are also very much inclined to invest in AP as they are inspired by the name Sentosa itself. It seems that amusement parks and other tourist attractions are going to attract a lion's share of development in the proposed capital region.
